Welcome to the beautiful world of Bollywood,
CityMasala readers! We promise you the latest, greatest and
juiciest of gossip from Bollywood.
It seems that Sudhir Mishra has a serious
Gadaar irking around his own office. The director and cast
of the sequel to Johnny Gadaar found themselves surprised
when they awoke to the sequel of the film, Tera Kya Hoga
Johnny all over YouTube. Over the course of the last 24
hours, the film has been divided up into 11 parts and
uploaded on the streaming site for viewers to watch and
enjoy. The film was completed in 2007 but due to many
production problems as well as issues with actor Neil Nitin
Mukesh’s availability, the film has been waiting for release
only to get a grand release on the internet instead.
According to the sources, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny was scheduled
to release early this month. The same source revealed,
“Apart from a tight budget, they also had difficulty with
Neil’s dates. In fact the fillm was also screened at the New
York’s South Asian Film Festival after the success of
Slumdog Millionaire. There were also reports that Mishra
wanted to dub the film in English for an international
audience.”
Zakir Hussain, a world renowned tabla
maestro is probably one of the most down to earth
celebrities you could come across. Charming and gifted with
a great sense of humor, he also happens to be very modest.
Zakir has been instrumental in revolutionizing the Indian
Percussion not only in India but all over the world.
Unmistakable and most certainly definable,
innately mysterious, exotic and regal, Indian women are a
class all of their own. Whether it be their lustrous, thick
black hair, almond shaped eyes, big, deep and soulful, their
lovely brown skin in all various shades, or their bejeweled
wrists, hands, feet and faces. There is an unparalleled
uniqueness about women from the sub-continent. The physical
attributes, however, are only one part of what makes up
their whole sum. For it is impossible to look only at an
Indian woman’s external beauty without acknowledging her
inner strength, her fortitude and her journey throughout
history, within India and abroad. March 8th is International
Women’s Day and a perfect time to pay tribute and respect on
where the women of India are today.

is a misconception that Desis who are born and raised
abroad, especially in America, tend to forget their roots
and heritage. This was further strengthened by a large
number of American Desi flicks that displayed the American
Desi life in all its grandeur: dating, college, independence
and even sex. However, this delusion couldn’t be further
from the truth. Granted that young American Desis have
developed a meshed way of life, blending the western
lifestyle along with the traditional eastern ways, but they
are determined to make a mark for themselves in America
while simultaneously holding up the Indian flag. Whether it
is in politics, television, cinema or sport, American Desis
have made their mark in every arena possible. CityMasala
takes a look and salutes these talented American Desis.Read
